High-frequency plastic and/or other similar material welding is the main phase of Essay’s production process. It is a versatile process that makes it possible to achieve very different results and product specifications depending on the field and method of application.
HF welding is a physical process generated by the passage of high frequency (electrical energy in the form of radio frequency) through two or more films of material by means of an electrode. The welding process involves the setting in motion of the molecular structure of the treated materials, which, when superheated, soften until they merge with each other. This procedure is particularly tricky because the whole process depends on time management, the pressures exerted and the choice of machinery.
The operation of high-frequency PVC or PU polyurethane welding is based on molecular agitation imposed by the synergy of pressure and electromagnetic field, which causes an increase in temperature making it possible to melt, and therefore to weld, the parts used.
This process is particularly suitable for the processing of components intended for the production of hard-wearing products characterised by strong joints capable of guaranteeing a long-lasting hold.
Compared to other technologies used in the sector, high-frequency welding of PVC and PU polyurethane(also called high-frequency plastic welding) can be considered more environmentally friendly and safer for operators. In fact, high-frequency welding does not generate fumes and does not involve the use of additives that are harmful to health.
Thanks to HF welding it is possible to successfully work with a large number of very different materials. Although the most common process is that of high-frequency PVC welding, it is actually possible to use the same principles to work with other flexible materials.
In some cases, for example, we can talk about high-frequency welding of imitation leather, leather and/or bonded fabrics. The extreme versatility of high-frequency welding allows the advantages of this process to be applied to the healthcare, fashion, beauty, furniture and gadget sectors.
Thanks to extensive experience in the field of high-frequency welding, Essay is able to transform thermoplastic materials into tailor-made items designed to meet a wide range of needs taking into account wishes, objectives and budgets. High Frequency or Radio Frequency welding is a process that allows different parts to be fused together by applying high-frequency energy at the joints.
Opting for processing based on HF welding makes it possible obtain hard-wearing products with resistant connections that stand out for their extremely clean lines. Essay uses the potential of processes such as high-frequency PVC welding to couple different parts of plastic material using 12 Mhz waves. High-frequency welding guarantees a safe and durable joint for many products even those with long lifespans.
Essay produces thermo-welded plastic elements for a wide range of fields and sectors.
The ability to exploit the welding of plastic materials and the thermal welding of fabrics to offer HF welded rolls allows Essay to satisfy the special needs related to the creation of accessories for the nautical, furnishing and automotive sectors.
